Custom Homesites in Sawyer’s Island Enclave Sell in Record Time

Posted July 12, 2021 in News

Mt. Pleasant, SC – Just weeks after its newest phase of custom homesites were released, Carolina Park announced that contracts had been written on all 25 of the properties that comprise the new Sawyer’s Island enclave in Riverside.

“Sawyer’s Island is an exceptional collection of properties and our first offering of marsh front homesites,” said Brian Keels, COO of Carolina Park Development. “We knew it would attract significant interest, but I’m not sure even we could have anticipated how quickly it would sell out.”

Located in the Riverside custom and luxury homes community, Sawyer’s Island was years in the making. Offering a variety of distinctive features that proved attractive to homebuyers, it’s the first Riverside neighborhood to include waterfront lots overlooking the Wando River. Five of the lots are dockable, providing residents with the opportunity to build their own private docks. And perhaps most impressive, the neighborhood provides residents with access to their own private island – the community’s namesake – with a crabbing and kayak dock, picnic areas and kayak storage.

“This was a rare opportunity, and homebuyers were quick to take advantage,” said Haley Cuzzell, Community Sales Manager. “To build a custom home in Sawyer’s Island, enjoy all of the amenities and conveniences that come with being part of the Carolina Park master planned community, and be just minutes from Charleston and the beaches – it just doesn’t get any better.”

Homebuyers will work with the builder of their choice from the four award-winning builders that comprise the Riverside Custom Builder Team. Some of the homes will be based on plans selected from the builders’ portfolios, while others will be custom designed. Prices range from around $1 million to more than $3 million, with construction on the first homes expected to begin later this summer.

“Everyone’s eager to see the Sawyer’s Island neighborhood come to life,” concluded Cuzzell. “And with everything else that’s happening – like the new Lake Club pool amenity opening this summer – it’s just a very exciting time to be part of Riverside.”

Interest is already growing around the next Riverside custom homes neighborhood to be introduced in early 2022. To learn more, call 843.793.0400 or visit CarolinaPark.com/Riverside.
