News and Announcements | 100 homes sold

Fast sales pace exceeds expectation, shows no sign of slowing —

Carolina Park has announced the sale of its one hundredth new home, a statistic that firmly establishes the area’s newest master-planned development as one of the region’s fastest growing communities as well.

“We’ve been extremely pleased with the sales pace and are excited to offer an even wider selection of options in the coming year,” said Brian Keels, Marketing Director at Carolina Park. “We were confident that buyers looking for a new home in Mount Pleasant would respond favorably to what we’re doing here — the quality, value, convenience and amenities — but I don’t think any of us could have predicted this kind of response and demand. It’s been tremendous.”

Carolina Park is a 1,700-acre family oriented mixed-use residential and commercial community located along Highway 17 in Mount Pleasant. The property incorporates Wando High School, as well as Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital, and will eventually become home to more than 1,700 families. Six of the region’s top homebuilders are constructing homes in Carolina Park, with prices for single family homes starting in the $300s and custom homes in Riverside at Carolina Park starting in the $500s.

“Things started fast and the momentum has continued to grow,” said Haley Cuzzell, Community Sales Manager. “People are talking about Carolina Park, and homes are selling quickly. Interest rates are low and prices are increasing as demand grows and inventory becomes limited. Even our newly opened Riverside neighborhood, which features custom homes on larger private lots, already has 16 homes under contract and several available homes which recently started construction.”

Carolina Park, located only minutes from area beaches and downtown Charleston, recently announced the opening of its new Residents Club. With a junior Olympic-size pool, kid-friendly water features, changing rooms and playground, it’s become a magnet for current residents.

“The neighborhood amenities, coastal lifestyle and top notch builder team is a draw for many residents and has helped boost the demand for new homes in Mount Pleasant,” said Cuzzell. “In less than a year, 100 families have made the decision to call Carolina Park home. That’s a great sign for the development.”
